Married At First Sight’s Lauren Huntriss, 31, was left humiliated after her TV ‘husband’ Matthew Bennett, 30, revealed to his male co-stars he ‘wasn’t attracted to her.’
And now, the makeup artist has revealed why she couldn’t stay friends with the videographer after the couple called it quits on Sunday night.
Speaking with Nine Honey, she said that after her time on the show had wrapped, she made the decision to cut Matthew out of her life.

‘I decided I could not be friends with Matt because I was hurt and being friends would probably prolong the healing process,’ she explained.
Lauren, who took Matt’s virginity on the show, said after he revealed he wasn’t attracted to her to the other grooms – she knew she couldn’t stay in the experiment.
‘I knew it would not be fair on myself or him to prolong the experiment,’ she said.

‘Matt had never told me he wasn’t attracted to me before and I was really hurt too. I felt that he really betrayed me,’ she added.
Meanwhile, Matthew said there were a number of things which he believed chipped away at his relationship.
He said the fact he didn’t drink along with the fact he ‘ate weird’ and was ‘too positive’ were things that were constantly on he was conscious of while he was with Lauren.

On Sunday night, the couple made shockwaves during the show’s commitment ceremony when they unanimously voted to leave the experiment.
‘I’m sorry I couldn’t give you what you needed,’ Matthew told a tearful Lauren, after she overheard him saying that he was not physically attracted to her.
Matthew had only lost his virginity to Lauren on their honeymoon, before she revealed she was sexually adventurous and well experienced in the bedroom.
He explained during the commitment ceremony: I was finding that quite confronting because I wasn’t having that urge and I was feeling just lost.’

It was then Lauren confessed that she overheard Matt making similar claims to his male co-stars during last week’s dinner party.
The blonde said: ‘I can’t force Matt to be attracted to me. I can’t force any of this. I just wish Matt had have spoken to me in private. That’s all I ask for.’
It comes after a report in New Idea magazine that the socially-awkward videographer has already amassed a following of ‘horny’ women since the show.
