A YouTuber inspired a flood of memes after he posted what he called the worst moment of his life, captured in a video of his wife falling several feet while on a hike.

Shaun McBride, who goes by the username Shonduras, posted the video, titled “JENNY FELL OFF A CLIFF.. scary moment for our family,” in which he and his wife Jenny reflect on the incident and show footage of her misstep and fall.

McBride says the video captures the “scariest moment of my entire life” as his wife fell about 12 feet into “lava rock and scariness.”

INSIDER could not independently verify the height of McBride’s fall.

The video is preceded by a content warning because McBride said it could be scary for viewers, but he decided to post it on his usually fun channel to inspire viewers to make the most of every day.

“We want Jenny’s near-death experience to be motivation for you guys to make every single day the best day ever and make life the best ever because it can just change like that,” he said.

McBride’s wife echoed his serious worry about the incident, saying she thought she was going to die, though she only ended up with minor scrapes and bruises.

“I literally thought I was going to die,” she said. “I’m lucky to be here and not even have a broken bone, just a really, really sore body.”

Though she wasn’t injured, McBride said the incident was serious enough to make her realize how suddenly “life can change”

“Sure changes your perspective,” she said. “Even the littlest things shouldn’t bother you because you never know, life can change in a split second.”

Despite the McBrides’ expression of trauma from the incident, people on Twitter didn’t share the same serious tone and instead posted droves of memes.

Many users took the video as the next development in internet content about wives, referencing Curvy Wife, who’s husband gained traction on social media for his posting about his plus-sized wife.

McBride did not immediately respond to INSIDER’s request for comment.

The 8 Different French Makeup Looks of Jeanne Damas

The 8 Different French Makeup Looks of Jeanne Damas

When it comes to hair and makeup, Jeanne Damas is the epitome of French-girl beauty. She’s a self-confessed lazy girl when it comes to her routine, but that’s probably why we’re so into it. Damas never looks like she’s tried too hard. Her classic (and signature) pillowy pout is always painted, lashes always curled, and hair soft and natural. But other than that, Damas never really switches up her beauty look. She’s found what works and has remained true to it, and it’s that low-key beauty we’re totally in awe of and obviously want to re-create ourselves.

We know that her cleansing process and daily hair styling is at the minimal end of the scale, but her beauty look has become so recognisable that it made complete sense for her to launch a beauty offshoot of her successful fashion label, Rouje. It includes the most “Jeanne” item of them all: red lipstick (available in many hues). Keep scrolling to see eight times Damas was our ultimate beauty icon, plus the beauty products she is never without…

Sure—it’s no secret that Damas loves a red lip. But we’re totally into her ’60s-style nude lipstick. Plus, those earrings…

Damas has previously spoken about her technique of using the same lipstick shade as her blush, and we reckon that’s exactly what she’s done here. The berry blush-and-lipstick combo ties her whole look together (it’s the lazy-girl makeup hack #1).

Who said you can’t wear lipstick to the beach!? Damas’s blotted pink lip teamed with zero eye makeup and damp wavy hair gives a chic update to the usual boho-beach vibe.

Probably the most done-up we’ve ever seen Damas, but we’re totally into it. A tiny touch of eyeliner, a seriously matte nude lip and bouncy waves… Damas has ’60s siren nailed.

Low-key but seriously chic, keep layering red lipstick over itself with your finger to get this blotted powdery pout finish.

The half-up, half-down hair—neatly brushed up brows and everyday nude lipstick—makes this a winner for daytime beauty.

Mixing up her go-to red, this hot fuchsia lipstick is an all kinds of chic.

Soft sleek hair + an easy red lip + zero eye makeup = it’s Damas’s winning formula.

What’s in Jeanne Damas’s Beauty Bag?

Damas told Byrdie that Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O Micellar Water was an essential step in her skincare routine: “I use it every morning and evening to take my makeup off. Even when I don’t have makeup on, it takes away any dirt, any pollution.”

During a video with Vogue, Damas skipped foundation and instead used Glossier’s Stretch Concealer to cover any “areas of darkness” on her face.

It’s no secret that Damas often skips mascara—but she never forgets to curl her lashes. This Shiseido Eyelash Curler is the best around.

During Damas’s Vogue beauty video, she admits that she likes to leave the sparse areas in her brows as filling them in with pencil can look “too harsh.” She does, however, brush them up with this clear brow gel from MAC.

“I put this on my lips every night before bed, and in the mornings before my lipstick to moisturise them,” Damas revealed to Byrdie.

She’s known for her lipstick, so it was no great surprise when Damas launched her own Rouje lipstick collection. This palette of four shades can be worn separately or mixed together—always applied with your finger to get that blotted, bitten lip affect. Damas also likes to use the excess colour on her cheeks as blusher too.

(G)I-DLE), “Senorita”

K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE returned today (Feb. 26) with the release of their addicting new single, “Senorita.”

The Latin pop-themed dance track incorporates castanets and jazzy brass horns alongside groovy rhythmic strings and sleek electronic effects. The song features the women confidently relaying their emotions to a “Senor,” who seemingly chants out the song’s title in th post-chorus.

The track was written by Soyeon in collaboration with Bicksancho of Yummy Tree. It fronts the group’s second EP, I Made, a follow up to last year’s I Am, and is the act’s first new single since last year’s “Hann (Alone).” Soyeon co-composed all of the songs on the album aside from the final track, “Blow Your Mind,” which Minnie composed with Flow Blow.

The accompanying music video for “Senorita” takes the six members of (G)I-DLE to what appears to be a brightly-hued hotel full of danger, including razor blade-filled lollipops, dangling cranes, electrocution via hairdryer, and fires. It’s fantastical and full of fierce moments as the six stare down the camera and perform their charismatic dance moves.

The video’s release also marks the partnership between (G)I-DLE and Memebox’s new Kaja cosmetic line. Throughout, the members of the act wear and interact with Kaja makeup products.

One of the most prominent new acts on the K-pop scene, (G)I-dle arrived last year with their pair of hit singles “Latata” and “Hann,” and rapidly gained major attention for their dynamic performance style. The group gained global prominence when two members, Soyeon and Miyeon, participated in League of Legend’s virtual girl group K/DA; their song “POP/STAR” with Jaira Burns and Madison Beer landed atop the World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1 in November.
